African black soap, also known as "Alata Samina" in Ghana and "Ose Dudu" in Nigeria, has a long history in West Africa, particularly among the Yoruba communities in Nigeria and the Akan people in Ghana. It's traditionally crafted and traded by women establishing their resourcefulness and contribution to society. They use locally sourced ingredients cocoa pods, plantain leaves, and palm leaves, mixed with oils like palm oil, coconut oil, and shea butter.
USAGES AND DIRECTIONS
Body Wash: Apply a generous amount onto wet hands, washcloth
or loofah lather and massage onto your body, then rinse.
Face Wash: Apply a small amount onto wet hands or washcloth lather and gently massage onto face.
(avoiding contact with delicate eye area, then rinse)
Hand Soap: Pour small amount on wet hands, rub hands together to create rich lather, then rinse.
INGREDIENTS: Palm Kernel Oil, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Pod Ash (Potash). Unrefined Shea Butter, Water.
WARNINGS: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN EXCEPT UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. IF IT GETS INTO THE EYES FLUSH EYES WELL WITH WATER FOR 15 MINUTES, CONSULT A PHYSICIAN IF IRRITATION PERSISTS.
